BRIEF

In today's digital age, it's commonplace for individuals to have multiple subscriptions and service agreements for streaming services, magazines, games, and more. Many of these subscriptions are open-ended or change their pricing over time. To address this, your aim is to create a supscription management service that helps users keep track of their subscriptions and reminds them in advance of renewal dates or important changes.

MoSCoW

We started out by using the MoSCoW method to decide what to include in our app. We made a list of things that were really important (Must Have), things that would be nice to have (Could Have)

This method helped us prioritize and make smart choices about what to include on the app.
Must have

User-friendly registration
Reminder management
Dark mode & Light mode
Cost tracking
Transparency & trust
gDPR compliance
Accessibility
Mobile-centric
COULD have

automatic renewal
family management
creative branding

BILL ANIMATION

BILL

To make our app stand out, we created Bill, our friendly mascot who takes charge of your subscriptions. I was tasked with creating Bill in Blender. I modelled him in different colors and shapes. I also animated him for the loading screen animation.

Why a mascot?

Distinctive Identity
A mascot adds a unique and easily recognizable element to our app, ensuring it stands out from the crowd

Personal Touch
Bill injects a personal touch into our app, fostering emotional connections with our users

Family-Friendly
Our aim was to make our app family-oriented and child-friendly. A playful mascot makes our app more appealing and user-friendly to our target audience

BRANDING

When designing our app, we put user ease and accessibility at the forefront. Here are some key design considerations we implemented:

Blue tones
We chose to go with a blue color scheme for both light and dark mode because of it's connection to trust and tranquility

Rounded shapes
We chose to add rounded corners to our buttons to match the friendly theme and the shape of our mascot

Clear and Minimalistic Buttons
We incorporated a limited number of buttons and interactions, ensuring clarity and simplicity

Bottom-Centered Menu
Placing the menu at the center-bottom of the screen makes it easily accessible with a simple touch

Notification Archive
We added a dedicated notifications page, functioning as an archive for previously received alerts. In case you accidentally delete a notification, you can easily retrieve it here

Household Management
Our app allows users to create households with multiple members, providing a clear overview of both the collective and individual costs
